sociale, digitale netwerken in Madrid

In een vorige blogpost betoogde ik dat de trends op het gebied van sociale netwerken goed bestudeerd moeten worden door culturele organisaties. Als toevoeging daarop een bericht over het Inclusiva-net van het MediaLab Prado (Madrid).

Inclusiva-net is een platform dat zich toelegt op research, documentatie en in omloop brengen van de network culture theory. Of zoals Inclusiva-net het zelf zegt: “Its mainstudy and documentation focal point is the processes of social and cultural inclusion in telecommunication networks and their effects in the development of new artistic practises and critical knowledge production.”

Ter gelegenheid van de tweede Inclusiva-net Meeting, die plaatsvindt van 3 tot 14 maart 2008, onder de titel “Digital Networks and Physical Space” is er een “Open Call” voor projecten en papers die hier betrekking op hebben. “The purpose of this open participation meeting is to explore the relationship between digital networks and physical space in the context of the increasingly widespread use of portable technology and Web applications in connection with the production and management of geographic information.”

Deadline voor het insturen is 30 januari. En dat is erg snel.
